'T' is for Tower with Tunes & Tree (abc Wednesday)

On Thanksgiving Day, we briefly visited Cal Berkeley campus.
Shown is Sather Tower which houses a set of 61 bells called the Berkeley Carillon.

"A Carillon is a musical instrument consisting of at least two octaves of carillon bells arranged in chromatic series and played from a keyboard permitting control of expression through variation of touch. A carillon bell is a cast bronze cup-shaped bell whose partial tones are in such harmonious relationship to each other as to permit many such bells to be sounded together in varied chords with harmonious and concordant effect." (Ref. Berkeley School of Music)
The School of Music offers lessons: "...University Carillonist at ucbells@berkeley.edu. ... accepted each semester ... Please include ... your musical background and a brief explanation why carillon study interests you."

I would love to take a carillon or even better - organ lessons. Are there any lessons you've always wanted to take?

Lessons? Yes! Tap, scuba, driving (horse-drawn cart), carpentry, photography, HTML, electrical wiring (I guess that's not a lesson, per se), wood working.

I see some similarity between this tower and the one below. This view of it is so lovely.
If I could take any kind of lessons it would be voice lessons, not that I have a good voice but there's always room for improvement!

Lessons: French, photography, history (well, I always want to study more) - that and architecture, and and and - you probably shouldn't get me started.

I wish I could practice my English...
A very nice photo, I like the contrast between the grey of the stone and the gold of the leaves.
And this young lady yesterday was perfect!

It's certainly a beautiful tower and I love to hear Church bells, reminds me of my childhood. Now all you get is recorded bells, not the same at all.

There's lots of things I'd like to learn but I guess I'd be better off perfecting some skills I already have, like improving my French or my cooking!

Beautifully framed photo. I'd like to take a pottery class.

Excellent choice for T - I've not heard any bells rung for a while now.

Love the photo! The way you framed the tower and the contrast between the yellow and green leaves and the grey tower and sky is stunning. Fantastic!

Did you get a chance to hear the carillon playing?
I took voice lessons for three years and enjoyed it very much, but I am still waiting for my duo with Placido!!...

Nice! I love the colors of the leaves.

Indeed you and «Louis» were "singing off the same sheet of music" when you posted this.
