View from Belmont Pier, Long Beach (Sky Watch Friday)
The Queen Mary, lights of Long Beach/LA harbor, and the outline of the Palos Verdes Peninsula. See some fabulous skies at SKY WATCH FRIDAY. Fooling with the full moon above Peninsula Center. (Hand-held with self-timer.)
A little factoid about me (more like about my acquaintances): I actually know a couple who've been on the Queen Mary 2 for a cruise. And until I saw this post of yours, I didn't know the QM is now permanently berthed at Long Beach.
I took a similar photo when I was driving home from Long Beach along Ocean just the other evening! I haven't even downloaded it yet.
Tash - I want to introduce you to my blogger friend Merisi, who takes beautiful photos like you, but in her hometown, Vienna. http://merisi.blogspot.com/ Lori Lynn
I love both shots....haven't been to the bridge area in a long time, but I can still see the moon over here! I am jealous of your moon shot, hand-held or not. I'm not good at these. Any advice? :<)
The moon shot is VERY impressive. I had to think for a minute, I keep geting the Queen Mary and the QEII mixed up. The QM has been there for a long time, right?
I love the look of the old liners... those chimneys are beautiful... Now they look more like big cubes on water, before they had a sleek line and elegance

This is very romantic.Nice shot.
yay! a shot from my neck of the woods :).
Lots of prom memories are connected to that boat. Whatever happened to the Spruce Goose?
Gorgeous Tash!
Great moon shot! Beautiful!
Great! Thank you for sharing!
Two cool shots. The moon photo is brilliantly clear, especially for hand held. Wish my hands were that steady!

I swear the lights are twinkling in the photo above. Had to do a double-take.
