Industrial Building at Twilight

Catalina Pacific Concrete building, 1026 Blinn Ave., Wilmington, CA 90744
The almost abandoned look of the building outlined against the early evening sky made me stop as I drove through the warehouse section of Los Angeles, just north of Port of Los Angeles. The view is from Alameda St., close to E. Grant.
Finding out the identity of the building took some doing. In the end, I found it on Google Maps. From its street view, I was able to track down the company's name on the side of the building.

I'm liking how the floodlights illuminate that metalwork. Nice capture.

You could get a job as David Lynch's production scout.

If he ever needed one. Like nevah.
And, then you'd have to talk to him. His one hand fluttering fingers in the air at you-you know how he does that...and that would be too much of a distraction from all the picture taking you do. Besides he might ask you if you liked Eraserhead. Then what? Oh,gads. Awkward!!!

I love your photo of the giant inflatable thing in front of the Christmas lights, too. If I could I'd drive over and stick a big inflatable doolally reindeer in this cement plant.

Sorry. I babbled. I love this photo.

These big industrial complexes allways remind me of some kind of science fiction monsters, so the mysterious light on the shot really fits the set! :-)
Nice shot!
