Starlings in the Sky (Sky Watch Friday)

The birds were perched on the trees by Rancho Palos Verdes City Hall.

See some fabulous skies at SKY WATCH FRIDAY.

Two great birdie pictures this month! (I think you're right about scandinavian vs mediterranean color perception. It might also have something to do witht the colors they see in the nature around them...)

Good capture of a really hard to take picture.

Whats that about color perception? did I miss something...
I think these birds might be the adult version of a couple of fallen nesters I picked up under the Devils Gate Overpass down in the Arroyo. I found someone to take over their care. I'd like to think these two are the same birds.

Nicely balanced composition makes this simple picture great. Very pleasant to look at.

Mindblowing.....I guess you have enhanced the colour of the sky in photoshop ...

This is the kind of composition I aspire to, so pared down: the deep blue of the sky, the architecture of the branches and those two birds...quite japanese in its simplicity.

I love the starlings against the blue. All stark and warm at the same time. It's prolly the California light.

The sky is so beautiful here. I don't know why, but crows make me laugh. I find them funny and comical. Go figure :-)
