'A' is for Art (abc Wednesday)
The wall painting of the Malaga Cove cliffs by Paul Roberts has adorned this doctor's office for many years. Dr. Yang is the third GP who has practiced here and has kept the warm, old-fashioned decor.
I wish our doctor had such a nice thing to look at in his waiting room. But no.......very uninspiring grey walls. Doesn't make you feel any better :-) Great post!
It makes me remember a story of Picasso. During his stay in South of France, he gave a priceless gift to his assistance for his marriage. He painted a wall painting in his little apartment. He could not sell the painting, it was on the wall and deteriorating. He also did not want to sell the apartment. It is priceless.
I had some peafowl in my neighborhood a few years ago. They are annoying. They jump on your roof. They honk at 4:00 am and wake you up. I think there were a bunch of males and no females. Finally they were gone. Don't know what happened to them.

I can tell I would LOVE your Doctor. I had a great Doctor when I was growing up.
I imagine it is not easy to paint around a corner like that.
This makes the doctyor's visit more pleasant.

Great post!
That's a beautiful mural! A real piece of art.
Also abstract. Really dramatic pretty painting.
I would turn the chairs around to enjoy the painting...
and forget why I am here!!!
Good on him!
So much more original than the usual decor...
Makes the long wait more bearable I imagine! HA
Loe the clock tower below as well. Just lovely.
V
and I like the colors. Do you have peacocks in PV? Seems to me you do. I love everything about them, including that mournful cry.
lovely idea to choose art!
I love the way the artwork wraps around the corner. It looks like a friendly office.
A is for Art as well as "Arcadia" which is probably crying "Fowl" over their misplaced city symbol. Beautiful!
Quite a view!
Very original!

And you captured it beautifully....
Nice shot, Tash.

My doctor's surgery has photos of the doctors and nurses on the wall - would much prefer something like this.
What amazing art work. That must have been difficult to paint around that corner like that. It looks fantastic!!
Thank you for sharing from the ABC Wednesday team.
Great mural! Looks so peaceful and warm.
Is that going around a corner? How cool!
Peacocks I'm familiar with, having the L.A. County Arboretum nearby.
