... well, as much as it can without snow and cold weather. One small section of our neighborhood goes all out with Christmas lights. Our dog Amy is OK with the penguin this year - the first year she saw it she'd bark and bark, and then try to get away as quickly as possible.

I love what they've done! There was a house in the subdivision next to us in Georgia that had one of those big penguins but they knocked him over and laid empty beer bottles around him. Christian called it the redneck penguin and wants us to do it this year, lol.
Thanks for the "long comment" I enjoyed the visit :)
I'm with the dog on this one - I'd bark too, then run away.
I really like the lighting on your photo, though.
I like that song, although its on TV all the time at the moment as a supermarket are using on their ad. Its beging ti get a bit wearing but it is Christmas!
The penguin is cool, but I can see why your dog wasn't keen!
Shiny pretty lights! (Clapping!) Yay!!!
I'm a sucker for twinkly things. Great shot.
Wow, this is great. Some homes and neighborhoods around here go all out with the lights at Christmas. I figure it is to make up for the lack of snow and other stuff that creates the Christmas ambiance. I mean, singing "White Christmas" when it is in the upper 60s doesn't quite create a Christmas atmosphere, know what I mean?
This is so good! I love the whole thing.
I don't know if it's a sign of the times but I'm not seeing full on Christmas decortations to photograph. I drove through several neighborhoods today and didn't see much. I'll try again tomorrow.
He is quite scary if yuu are a little dog. Love how the green has really been picked up in this image.
My kids would love this! I would too, I have to admit!
That's a friendly penguin with a cute smile...
Well he knows best...
he moved to California instead of staying in the North Pole!!!
Penguins in Calf. what'll they think of next! Great color and lighting.

Hah! My lab (85 lbs) barks, then hides behind me, at large inflated objects. I think he's saying, "Go get 'em Karin, I'm right behind you." So he's rather an embarrassment in Old Town.
What a pretty night shot. I must practice more! I sympathize with Amy as these odd looking creatures must surely look threatening.
You really captured this well. Love these big light displays!
love the lights...penguin isnt SOOO bad! thanks for sharing! :)
Great shot! I guess your dog finally learned that the penguin wasn't going to chase her...
