At Crystalaire Airport (Monochrome Monday)

The back of San Gabriel Mts (from small private airport in Llano, CA).
Above Crystalaire airport (taken last March during my 1-of-2 rides in a glider). The band "above" the airstrip is the California aquaduct.
Moon over Saddleback-like mountain.

Beautiful photos-- I especially like the top one. It looks almost like water, the clouds are so reflective. Gliding, eh? You're brave! A belated Merry Christmas to you!

I flew out of Brackett Airport on the south side of the San Gabriel Mountains when we lived in Pomona. This is one airport that I don't remember hearing about. I've never tried a glider, only powered aircraft. It must be pretty quiet without an engine roaring away. - Margy

Just wonderful, although the second one gave me the "frizzies" as my daughter use to say! THe moon reminds me of my moons today. NO, I did NOT moon anyone! :)

Those mountains are beautiful when not obscured by smog. I used to live in the San Gabriel Valley in my glory days.

On the over head shot I think I'm looking at Devil's Punchbowl.
