Ready for Hibernation

The bear is ready for the winter ... I just wish I wasn't. So I've started to work harder on that New Year's resolution of "more fit, less fat".

The bear is an advertisement for a Candy/Chocolates store in Huntington Beach on Main Street. He sure is noticable, so I bet he draws customers to the store.

Before I started blogging, I had always meant to take a photo of a very similar bear someone had put up in a tree near the Sava river, overlooking some boat restaurants. After a while, sadly, he just rotted away, I guess, since he was left out in all kind of weather. At least this one is in a warm shop!

Well... hahaha! It will be useful for me too. But how to discipline myself??

Hmmm, I am sure he gets noticed but wonder if he draws customers in, of if that big belly scares them off!.

For an alternative check out this entry on my blog last summer: http://mckinneydailyphoto.blogspot.com/2008/05/eye-catcher.html

She is outside a candy store here in McKinney and may appeal more to those seeking fitness than the bear ;)

That is a really cute bear. It looks animitronic (is that even a word?). Does the bear talk?

That would definitely draw my kids to the store! How cute.

Great Photo, maybe they feel that everyone else will feel extra fit next to the bear?

I have enjoyed viewing your photos. I really liked yesterday's photo of the water tower.

He's HUGE! and kind of creepy looking at the same time. My 17 yo daughter would go crazy over it if she saw it and would take tons of pics.
Very Cool!

The chubby bear is a hoot! Actually I like the winter when the bears are tucked away in their dens. It makes hiking in the woods less stressful. - Margy

He looks like a lot of the Manx men here- A little heavy around the girth.

Like Dan I wondered if he might have the opposite effect to the one intended..
