Stripes at Palos Verdes Main Library

The shadows on the library wall is one of the favorite subjects with the Palos Verdes photographers. See also: Daily photo from Rancho Palos Verdes

One can see why! The clarity of shadow is quite astounding. It reminds me of paintings from the 60s. The eye gets disturbed looking at this image and trying to work out what is beam and what is shadow.

What a great image! I love the play of shadows

Your photo has the effect of an illustration, perhaps from an architect's pitch for a building of the future. Perhaps from back in the 60s, as Julie says.

Cool one Tash!

The first think I thought was that it has the feel of an Edward Hopper painting, such precise angles with the shadow and light. That's one for the wall, Tash.

Clear cut shadows on bold clear colours. I would want to photograph this many times too.
