Shadow of Your Wing by Carolyn McDade
Stay by me now that I may feel the shadow of your wing,
the shadow of your wing,
the shadow of your wing on mine.
Lay down you load that I may feel the freedom of your wings,
the freedom of your wings,
the freedom of your wings on mine.
Stay by me now that I may know the joy that lifts your soul,
the joy that lifts your soul
the joy that lifts your soul on mine.

These remind me of the Stealth bomber which suddenly, and quietly, appeared above me over the Rose parade route. I tried to take a decent pic and that's the best I can say about that!
But, nT, you got these birds good!
Daring mix of two themes and poetry. In my opinion you succeeded, great image and post.
Beautiful wings. A lovely, lovely post. God bless.
Good interpretation of shadows. Such graceful birds.
Beautiful photo! Great capture!
Great way to combine the two themes!!!

Beautiful
That is a lovely combination of the two themes!
Beautiful blue sky, beautiful birds and beautiful words! Can't beat that for a perfect combination! Have a great weekend!
I like this indirect take - I've done so many shadow photos for Shadow Shot Sunday that I did something a little different too - and I like the verse that you've chosen to accompany it. Beautifully well done, Tash, it makes me feel like I'm soaring too.
That's great!! Huge pelicans!
Scored again for me. Those birds wingspans against such a big blue sky casting shadows upon the ground. Magic.
I just love the way you always capture their expressions. Happy May day, for you I have planted nasturtiums.
Perfect for both skywatch and theme day, wish I was as clever!
such a special photo. i love those gorgeous pelicans. excellent choice for theme day
You've got the bases covered. Well captured image of these sturdy birds in formation, Tash. Beautiful!
Tash, Sorry I am a day late but I just love your choice for SHADOWS and the poem is beautiful!

WV: FUZATER, doesn't mean a darn thing as usual but I like to say it! HA
Those birds are amazing. You must be a patient person, because that's a difficult shot to get.

Pelicans are kind of awkward looking birds, but you've captured them in a moment of grace. Clever choice of poem.
Perfect blue sky!
Perfect poem!
Perfect shadows!
Thanks for sharing!
