The photo was taken from the farthest end of the fishing pier that parallels the LA harbor breakwater, starting at Cabrillo Beach. My City Daily Photo neighbor, Lori Lynn, has been posting port activity, including the breakwater in San Pedro Daily Photo.
More information on the lighthouse can be found at Light House Friends - Angel's Gate.

This is such a well balanced photograph, Tash. Structures as well as colours. A very Grecian feel to it ...
I love lighthouses and this one is gorgeous! Your picture is nicely composed too.
I must agree with Lois!
Lovely composition!
Well done
Léia
this is a beautiful scene! I love the color blue.
Hi Tash - One day we are going to be standing right next to each other with our cameras, snapping photos of something we both find interesting, look at each other, laugh, and introduce ourselves.
We were walking on the fishing pier on Monday! Missed you by one day...
Thanks for linking san pedro daily photo! Today has the final photos in the Maersk series.
Thanks again,
Lori Lynn
P.S. Love your lighthouse photo, great with the tug, it is pretty far away even from the end of the pier!
Lighthouse and tugboat: great photo!
What a coincidence: Trillian has posted a very special lighthouse on our blog today...
Beautiful! I like watching light houses - they are so unique:) Nice composition of white and blue:)
Lovely shot. I love the beautiful blues and whites in this photo. Just a beautiful lighthouse.
Very well composed. Excellent shot!
Nice looking little lighthouse. It reminds me of "Bug Light" in Maine.
I think (past the lighthouse) is where the Neptune society unloads the ashes. At least thats where they took us to dump Frank
I have such a thing about lighthouses! This is beautiful, Tash.
Very charming scene with the lighthouse and the tugboat!
"Well-balanced" was the first thought when I saw this photo, and I see someone beat me to it! I think it's lovely.
Beautiful light house !
Cute little light house.
Nice shot! I love lighthouses. We just saw quite a few driving up the coast.
