I recently had an appointment in El Segundo on the South side of LAX which is 15 miles away from Palos Verdes. I drove around for a bit, taking in the sights and found a perfect "high" spot overlooking the airport on E. Imperial Ave.
This meeting of jumbo-jets from Down Under is for my cyber-friends Sally, Julie, Kris, and Gordon. G'day, all.

Ha,ha! Good one. It reminds me of those creatures, the "Push-me,Pull-you" in Dr. Doolittle.
indeed a wonderful capture!
Tash, forgot to tell you to check out some REALLY expensive real estate on my blog today.
Funny coincidence (the airlines) and nice juxtaposition (the airliners).
What amazes me most about this photo is how clear the San Gabriel Mountains are! Those are the San Gabriels aren't they? Can you always see them this well? I used to live right below them and there were many days 15-20 years ago that even we couldn't see them. Love the planes too.
Clever. Nice to see the mountains in the background too,
LL
well...You got a perfect shot!
Beautiful picture!

Great capture in deed
You must have been alert and working fast to get this shot. Great capture!!
What a super shot! Wow! And perfect for "J" Day! Thanks for sharing!
What a great catch, Tash! I keep thinking I'll go out to our local airport but never do. I'll have to get out there.
Ooh, I love that word: juxtaposition. I had been thinking about using that one, but couldn't find a nice photo to accompany it. Very well done on yours!
Wow! What a great shot!
That's two great 'J's in one! Excellent!
On behalf of the team, thanks for taking part in ABC Wednesday today!
I thought of posting Jumbo, but I would only have had one; yours is clever - 2 J's in one.
Thanks for thinking of us Aussies and linking us. (PS there is a problem with the link to Kris and me - you've included a /Kris and /Gordon after the site URL)
I like the fins. They are so colorful and pretty!
I like the way you captured these two together like this. Nice J post.
Fun shot!! Love the color in your photo
For a second I thought you were going to tell me your son was flying this one.
A very nice J and a huge jet!
I see a flattened cat head. Think of Hello Kitty stretched out
very nicely captured juxta..
