Early on Sunday morning, Ridgecrest Intermediate School held its 2nd annual 5K run to promote health awareness and to raise funds. About 300 kids and a some parents participated. The run started at Ernie Howlett Park and followed the horse trails for 3.1 miles. My son did well on his finish time (he is 2nd from the front in the photo below) even though there were quite a few "deposits" to dodge on the trail.

And the winner was rewarded with a new job?
With such scenic views, even I might get tempted to take up running (well, alright, walking).
Looks like a great day for a run!!

I've always been a horse lover. When I came to Palos Verdes with my parents to eat at the Red Onion I would watch intently to see if I could see any horses on the trails. I always thought it would be neat to live somewhere with a horse in my backyard and trails out front. Probably a good thing I never did, it's a lot of work to care for a horse!
Just wanted to let you know I connected with Bibi after your recent post highlighting both of us. Thanks. - Margy
"Deposit" dodging while running and in such a beautiful scenery... I'll walk too, camera at hand!
More Ficus? oh no! I'm out to congratulate you and embarrass you a little. I've linked up your recent interview on my blog...

Bravo to your son!between the plane and the runs he is quite a "sporty" guy!
Horse Trails; what a great idea. I'd have loved that when I used to ride. I would have loved a horse but the expense, the time...
