Under the influence of "crashing waves" by Edward Weston, this one was taken on a sunny day at Abalone Cove.
Thank you, PJ of Pensacola DP, for sending me the link -
NY Times - California Coast thru Edward Weston's Lens.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting up with many of the San Gabriel Valley bloggers hosted by the Altadena bloggers (Altadena Hiker, Altadenablog, Altadena Above It All, Open Mouth Insert Fork) in (yup) Altadena! The pot-luck picnic was a great success with so much excellent food and great company.

Hello Dear Tash!
What a beautiful waves picture!
I'm glad to know you had a wonderful time with friends!I saw the "video"- altadenablog, and could feel the friends atmosphere in this meeting!Very nice to know!
Have a good week, hugs from Léia
Beautiful, full of expression photo!
Stacks up well against "Westin Beach, Point Lobos 1947". I would not have thought to shoot the coast in B&W but the wave gives this shot so much life, so much energy.
That was great to meet up and thanks for the signed book "God and Mr Gomez" by Jack Smith.
Sorry I missed you, nT. I had to leave early while you arrived later. Next time up here or down there!
You have some really beautiful shots here. The shots of Air Force One are especially nice.
The California coast is a wonder to behold!
So glad you got to join the gang for the picnic. I love your waves in BW. what a stroke of genius.

Always a pleasure to see you again. Thank you for making the trip from the seashore to the mountains. Lovely photo.
Nice monochrome.
How fun to meet up with fellow bloggers. I've met one here in Bellingham, but that's it. Your crashing waves remind me of the wind and surf we had in Powell River on Saturday. I'll be posting a video tomorrow you might like. - Margy
Very good when enlarged, this one. Crisp and clear.
What to say that the others have not said? Beautiful in black and white.
I love a nice picture of crashing waves!
I'm glad I could help out. I think that anyone of a certain age has been influenced by Weston, I was struck by it when I ran across the aricle. You've done a great job in referencing his work, nice work, Tash.
I love that you made this black and white! Well done.
