Crashing Waves at Abalone Cove

Under the influence of "crashing waves" by Edward Weston, this one was taken on a sunny day at Abalone Cove.
Thank you, PJ of Pensacola DP, for sending me the link -
NY Times - California Coast thru Edward Weston's Lens.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting up with many of the San Gabriel Valley bloggers hosted by the Altadena bloggers (Altadena Hiker, Altadenablog, Altadena Above It All, Open Mouth Insert Fork) in (yup) Altadena! The pot-luck picnic was a great success with so much excellent food and great company.

Stacks up well against "Westin Beach, Point Lobos 1947". I would not have thought to shoot the coast in B&W but the wave gives this shot so much life, so much energy.

You have some really beautiful shots here. The shots of Air Force One are especially nice.

How fun to meet up with fellow bloggers. I've met one here in Bellingham, but that's it. Your crashing waves remind me of the wind and surf we had in Powell River on Saturday. I'll be posting a video tomorrow you might like. - Margy

Very good when enlarged, this one. Crisp and clear.

What to say that the others have not said? Beautiful in black and white.

I'm glad I could help out. I think that anyone of a certain age has been influenced by Weston, I was struck by it when I ran across the aricle. You've done a great job in referencing his work, nice work, Tash.
