'I' is for Ideal Home (abc Wednesday)

This lovely, spacious home, in a new, nicely done development at the end of Hawthorne Blvd., looks very close to the ranch style I always wished for. I can imagine a large library, a living room with a grand piano, even an entertainment theater, walk in closets, all with a ocean view (at least from the master bedroom). However, when I consider our small townhome, we have a large library spread out throughout the house, a grand piano in the living room (I married into that possession), enough entertainment gadgets to last a couple of lifetimes, and an ocean view from a lookout just a short walk away. Pretty much an ideal home, indeed.

What a great post! And just think about how much less floor space you have to vaccuum...

You bet it is. Bibi and I would be happy there. How much, dare I ask...?

Oh Tash your post made me dream, dream, dream...since I live in a "flat" and I can`t say that it would set up a piano inside ( for this reason my own piano is now in my mommy's house!!)But, this picture is the ideal home indeed!Blessed family!

Wonderful place, very well photographed in pastel colors against a dark sky!

Hi Tash...thanks for visiting my Ocala DP blog...

This is a gorgeous home...and your photo is superb.

I lived in So. Cal. as a kid for awhile, and it took my heart a long time to heal after we moved. I loved it!

But life goes on and I've been in Florida 24 years, which is a nice place, too.

Have a great day.

I'd knock out all the walls and make it into a studio. The bed would be off in a corner somewhere with a curtain around it.

PA would actually do something like that. I'd rent it out and move to Altadena.

Gorgeous light on a gorgeous house. I would love a ranch style house like this, especially in a warmer climate than New England. Can you tell I am tired of winter:)

Very pretty! I would enjoy the walk-in closets, though. :)

Home is where the heart is, I love my house too, wouldn't mind a bigger kitchen though...
Neat gray sky in that photo.

I too live in a townhouse and suffer envy, but then I think of all the destitute millions who must envy ME!!!!!

It just shows you've got what you wished for, though a house like this would be nice :)

Other homes often look enticing to me, but they don't have all the things I love in them. It's a beautiful house though.
I love the Scott Kelby shot for SWF last week. I ordered the books and they should be here soon!
