Bluff Cove on a Blustery Day

I've been meaning to peel myself away from the coast, but I just can't seem to. The strong winds we had on Sunday brought a lot of whitecaps and great storm surf to the PV coastline.

I lived in LA when a kid and never could get enough of the coastline, either!

Beautiful shot!

Oh, that photo just below is absolutely great. (And it's ok over at my place, it was just a lively discussion.)

I like to see the power of nature, Tash. I am intruiged by the "soil" on that far headland. Our headlands are either sandstone or granite. That looks a lot softer. Is it?

Tash, you are temptress. You'll have to stop posting these gorgeous shots or we'll all end up moving to PV.

That's a wonderful photo. I had heard from a friend that PV was having a very windy day and night yesterday. I guess this confirms it.

My comment just got lost...I was saying that I've never seen the sea agitated like this. Spectacular. You always seen to catch the light.

Love the colors here, the waves lined up crashing into shore.

Gorgeous, as long as I'm not out in it. I'm a true fair weather sailor! - Margy

That's a beautiful view, waves are so much more interesting when see from above, especially long ones like these.

Thank you so much for that link from Marymount College about the geology of PV area, Tash. It is as complex geologically as any other area. Just strange to my eyes. Amazing how much we learn from each other doing blogging, isn't it?

I love the word blustery. It always makes me think of Winnie the Pooh. This is gorgeous. Good idea. Careful down there with all these recent Earthquakes. I'm a little nervous about a tsunami!

The Cove is almost always windless too that is why it is a great surf spot. So cool to see it stormed up.
