Sometimes the best SkyWatch Friday occurs on a Friday! Post Thanksgiving Day sunset over Bluff Cove from a lookout on Via Monte Mar - even the pelicans cooperated, making the first of many shots the best one.

'R' is for Rocks (abc Wednesday)

This rock may be Valmonte Diatomite, although I usually think of that rock as being layered and somewhat crumbly at the exposed surface. In any case, the rock is soft enough for expressing one's heart. The view is at the lookout over Bluff Cove, looking across the South Bay toward Malibu.

Bluff Cove on a Blustery Day

I've been meaning to peel myself away from the coast, but I just can't seem to. The strong winds we had on Sunday brought a lot of whitecaps and great storm surf to the PV coastline.
