My friend's neighbor was redoing the kitchen and ripped out this classic 60's vinyl (or maybe even linoleum) flooring. Not the best period in home decor, but I find the pattern very pleasing, in a nostalgic sort of way. Sort of like Courier font.
Thanks PasadenaAdjacent, for the flooring post idea.

Ohmigosh. The vinyl is so familiar - and being nostalgic about the Courier font brought a sudden giggle. Nice V!
Beautiful colors Tash.

I like this, too. I have a friend who lives in a cute little house in Seattle who has kept the original linoleum on her floor.
I agree, and have recently seen something like this. With that light even these odd colors are stunning.
Good lord. This goes well with avacado green kitchen appliances and bean bag chairs. We didn't have gold linoleum but we had deep pile shag rugs.
I agree!A very pleasing pattern and blend of colours.
splendid v post.
I am so glad that is not 'in' anymore. No wonder they ripped it out!
Good capture.
That certainly brings back some memories! Reminds me of the floor in my old kitchen about 30 years ago.
Wow! I wouldn't want it in my house, but I'm glad I got to see it here!
Oh, Wow! That does bring back the memories! And you're right, the 60s weren't the best period in home decor, but it is fun to see! Hope your week is going well!

I like those lines and the colours!
Léia :)
I can easily picture the kitchen table that went with that floor!!
I'm late to my party (link) again. Yes, it sure did come from the 70's. Petroleum products at their best. The pattern I picked in my East LA home had a Fred Flinstone vibe
Too bad they threw it out, it went so well with the garage.
That Courier reminds me how delighted I was with my first Remington typewriter. (It was a portable, not the kind Shakespeare wrote on.)
:)
Oh my does that bring back memories of old houses we've lived in.
i probably had that in my house DECADES ago

This is a hoot - both the linoleum AND the courier font! I think we had this same flooring pattern in a light green - it blended with the avocado green refrigerator. EEEK!
At least you wouldn't have to worry if you spilled something on it. Who'd be able to tell!
Love the pattern. Got me thinking, what would I do with the old flooring?? I want to cook a Tagine and serve the meal on this pattern.

Wow, I can't imagine they lived with that for so long. You have to appreciate that they can be removed in giant sheets though.
