Winter Sports (Mammoth Mountain, CA)

Taking it easy on the chair lift (Eagle Express Chair 15) - which is a bit more exerting than taking it easy on the armchair watching the Winter Olympics. The photos are from the early February of last year, since this year it was too snowy on the slopes.
Looking up from Little Eagle.
View from the easy Lupin run (under Chair 15).

The light and mountain scapes are spectacular, Tash!

Wow, I wish I could ride on that chairlift all the way up to a steaming bowl of soup at the lodge up top!

I'm not a skier but I love the mountains,

With all these snowy pics lately, I'm surprised you didn't head out east of the mississippi where they are more than willing to share their snow with the whole nation.

Love that first shot! I guess this will have to do for me for now. I can't seem to get the Olympics over here in English. argh!

I especially like the shadows and the skis in the top one.

Chairlifts I can do without skis, but don't make me combine the two - painful results! But I'd take any amount of that sun you have.

You must have had a great time. You'll have to explain the too much snow thing...
