X-Country at Mammoth Lakes (Away from Home)
On Saturday morning, we first went for a short nature tour on cross-country skis from Tamarack Center by Twin Lakes. The tour was guided by Mary, a very knowledgable volunteer with the park service.
Oh what fun! Haven't had a chance to x-country this season, but a storm is headed this way on Wednesday, so I'm hoping to be out there on the weekend. It's so refreshing isn't it!
However, it was so springlike today that I really don't want winter to come back.
Hey! I have a very good friend from high school who lives in Bishop and who works (wine rep) in and around Bishop. I like Bishop/Mammoth, but have only recently been there in the summer.
I am sort of envious, and then again not, since last time I stepped on cross-country skis I broke my coccyx. I'll just ski through the medium of your photos, I think!

I haven't been in that kind of snow for thirty years (and it was in Mamoth)
