Sunset in Reverse - South Bethany beach, Delaware

This is my very first East Coast sunrise at a beach - a thrilling experience to see the sun coming up from the ocean and not at all too early to see (6:13 am). I wonder if there is a green flash right before the sun comes up. I did have company.

Lovely Tash! I like the way the sunlight is shining on that wet sand. I grew up a few blocks from the Atlantic Ocean and was used to seeing the sunrise over it until I lived for awhile on the west coast--of Florida that is! I could never get used to seeing it set over the Gulf!

Nothing like an east coast sunrise...I am especially impressed with the orangish colors!

I feel like I've been on vacation with you. What a neat town. Love the 1925 swimsuits!

Nice photos! And interesting to me, as an east-coast resident, to read your thoughts on a "different sunrise." I've recently returned from Hawaii, where the setting of the sun into the ocean seemed to strange to me. It had me thinking about the effects our geography can have on our sense of orientation.

I've never thought about this being a different sight - our little country is so narrow that we don't have far to go to see a sunset over the Atlantic or a sunrise over the North Sea, so there isn't that sense of disorientation.

That sunrise is magnificent, the color palette is stunning - great capture!

Is that a little sandpiper? I am thinking of those little birds that run back and forth at the edge of the waves. O I miss the East Coast summers!
