Anasazi Modern with Ladder

The building I posted back in May (see earlier construction progress) is nearing completion. It reminded me of the cliff dwellings that Anasazi built in the American Southwest such as at Mesa Verde in Arizona.

Ha, I thought the same thing. Didn't think about a construction ladder. Do you have a lot of htis architecture in PV?

That's a fantastic building and also thought of those old buildings made by native americans!

Been seeing your other photos and liked those for SWF quite a lot.

Have a nice week.

It reminds me of the same! Such a warm color.

About Big Stone Gap series. Funny, I read these a few years back and loved them. When I learned we were moving to Va, I immediately looked up Big Stone Gap on the map to see how far we'd be,lol. I think we are about 150 miles or so. Will definately have to make the trip to see it. Weird the way life turns out, while reading the series, I would never in a million years think I'd live so close to the location!
I haven't read White Oleander or The Mitford Series, will add to my library list. I've heard alot of great reports on Mitford. Did read The Lovely Bones and it was hard to read, very haunting and disturbing, but I couldn't put it down!

I also thought of the Native American dwellings when I saw this photo. It's just beautiful...love the creamy ivory/yellows and the light blue.

I didn't think it was possible that a McDonalds could go out of business. Thats a whole lot of housing to cram into a corner lot.

Very funny with the ladder. I like how you caught the light here.

The light is beautiful with lovely warm tones off the building. I often see ladders with no one about.
