Two of my favorite things... (PVDP on vacation)
Mikado chocolate bars - milk chocolate over puffed rice. Yum!
... to eat in Croatia ... and at home. As you can imagine, I now need a few months at a weight loss spa!
The unauthorized photos are from Plodine super-market in Pula.
This is a great series. We visited Croatia from a small ship cruise, which was an easy way to travel down the coast and be in a new destination each day. We stopped in several of the places that you have visited, such as Pula and Sibenik. Your series is making me wish we had stayed longer, as the disadvantage of being on a cruise is that you can miss really absorbing the local culture, such as visiting the food shops like you showed today, or walking the streets of a town early in the morning or late in the evening.
Exploring the food when traveling is so much fun, it's such an immediate and tasty way to get familiar with the culture. That bakery looks like heaven.

Mikado? Croation? Potato? Tomato?
They have those chocolates here, too, but my favorite is the imported Milka....just the plain one....
Love the bread....
Those sweets and the beaches below,
here I come, Croatia! :-)
That's what holidays are for. Once you're back at work the extra 'ounces' will soon go.
