The LA County lifeguard stations, like this one in Palos Verdes at Abalone Cove, are decked out in "Summer of Color", panels painted by the children of Los Angeles.
The 1st day of every month is City Daily Photo community's Theme Day. Click here to view thumbnails for all participants.

Wonderfully bright colours.
What a fantastic, fun and colorful idea! Perfect for beaches! My hat off to the person who thought of it and to LA's children.
What a great idea. Wish we would do something like that back home.
I love the bold bright colors! That must of been fun to do :D
That's great and a fun angle and a nice reflection thrown in too!
A kid very talented! It's wonderful!
:)
Bonjour sweet Tash, how are you?
After some days off here, I'm trying to catch up with bloging ( and some laundry to do as well LOL ).
Have a great week,

Bonitos colores.
Un saludo.
We will be visiting the beaches of Southern California soon, and I will look for these lifeguard stations.
This reminds me of the tunnel from the parking area to Crystal Cove State Beach. It would ordinarily be a dark and drab place to walk through, but they had school children paint murals of fish and beach scenes.
Terrific for Theme Day Tash!
I took a photo of the one here at Royal Palms, but I need to go back and reshoot. Love this project!

Nice theme day shot!
Nice one, Tash. Reminds me of the Flower Power vibe from the late 60s.
That's a great idea and a good choice for Theme Day!
How cool is that??? Great shot for Theme Day Tash!!
Very nice bunch of colours :)
How Bright - Bold and Beautiful !
Missed the whole DP color day. I guess it's been awhile since I was down in the Cove. Somewhere I have pictures of it pre "crazy daisy"
Wow, that's eye-popping!
