View from the trail starting at the west end of Ocean Terrace Dr. (15 March 2010) Sacred Cove is actually hidden from view and is right after the near point (Portuguese Point). The trail leads down to Palos Verdes Dr., about 1/2 a mile to the right of Abalone Cove Park. We did not hike down this time...but will soon, although I'm not promising to hike back up.

I think I've done this hike from the start of a park up above. On one especially frisky day we made it down to the archery range and back. Your right, it's not for the timid of toes.
