Fountain of Youth - Malaga Cove Library

These are photos from July of 2008, taken during the summer concerts in the park next to the historic Malaga Cove Library and grounds, while the fountain was under restoration. The water is flowing again, but I wanted to share these BEFORE photos first.

Fountain of Youth, huh? Does it work?

WV: Aeist. Guess that means someone who doesn't believe in anything.

if it does work, I need to take a bath immediately!
Whatever the case, this looks like a nice place to hang out.

Love the frolicking children in the first and the perspective of the second. Can't wait to see how things develop.

Beautiful and I especially love how you captured someone at each fountain. Bravo.

What a clever title! By the way, have you ever read the kids' book (though I thoroughly enjoyed it) Tuck Everlasting by Nathalie Babbitt? You should. I may have misspelled her last name.

I am so glad to hear (and see) that the fountain is still going..we always lingered by it to spy fish and just dawdle while some of the family was still checking out books...I remember minding my little sisters on the hill above the fountain as the rolled down it a nice recess from their scholarly pursuits indoors. such a beautiful spot..the newer slicker library built up by the Peninsula center was cold and boring by comparison

this reminds me so much of that mural that used to be on the Pasadena Freeway in the LA Corridor. It had larger then life children playing in front of a pale yellow field. Especially the girl in the center
