On a Warm Winter Day
From the Seal Beach Pier, 31 Dec 2009
This may be one of my first sepia toned posts - the scene just looked right that way. To view others visit MaryT, theTeach at Sepia Scenes Blog.

My doing this photo in sepia tones you've created a perfect setting for your grandmother in-law
This works remarkably well, Tash. For me it is usually only "old fashioned" scenes that are going to transform well. Maybe it is that you had such a good structure to the overall image anyway. I think in B&W it would have not said anything at all.
I used to love to go to Seal Beach when I lived there. When I went to Long Beach State I often went there to relax and enjoy the sun. The sepia makes it look timeless. I'll check out the other posts. - Margy

I really like the sepia colour in this one and the line of palm trees in the background , beautiful :)
Warm days? Oh man, I had almost forgotten that such exist!
God bless you!
Cezar
Go ahead, rub it in:)
Surf's up. Cool picture. Reminds me of Capitola.
Awesome picture! God, I want summer.
This is such a great shot. You make all of us tromping through snow full of longing for days in the warm sun, sand under our feet instead of ice.

Good choice.
Great shot. Your sepia toning is just right for the scene. Warm December -- I wish!
To me, the photo has a real 1950s feel about it. Part sepia, part setting. Evocative is the word I was looking for. Very evocative.
I've been to Seal Beach! Of course, it's been more than 30 years ago, but still... Nice photo, Tash.
Lovely scene, which looks great in sepia - well done!

this is beautiful
a wonderful scene
the white really glows in all the warm sepia tones
Indeed it is beautiful in sepia' timeless...retro. I like it a lot.
I'm not usually a fan of sepia, but I have to say that this shot works!
Nice retro surfin' scene!
Has a definite '50's' feel to it. Nice work.
I love it Tash!
I love the sepia-- it keeps the warmth, but softens it. Very nice!
Beautiful beach scene offers us some sepia warmth..I like how the white stands out against the sepia tones.
Perfect SoCal scene. Loving the sepia...dude.
That is excellent. I need to try more sepia.

The sepia does this motive very well. Could be in the 30's (besides the surfboards, ;-)).
Such beauty,
works very well!
I only recently posted my own first sepia images -
they do have a priceless charm.
