LA Basin, 20 Jan 2010
In between the rain storms, the city really sparkles. Downtown Los Angeles is right under the knoby tree branch. Both views are taken from a walkway on the left side of Rolling Hills Seventh Day Adventist church on, the aptly named, Highridge Road.

Old Mt. Baldy with a bit of snow is the right most peak, and just left of the left tree trunk is Downtown Los Angeles. The panorama is a PS3 Photomerge from 2 photos.

Oh, reminds me of high school and Mulolland Drive....need I say more?
:)
Both views are awesome! I love the night shot of the sparkly city lights and the colors of the sky in your second photo is beautiful.
Loved the two pictures!
Amazing scenery!
BTW, your French is perfect! :)
Thanks for your support!

Great night shot (& day one too!). Interesting on the panorama photomerge - am going to read up on it!
Great view when up on top of the mtn.
Both shots are just stunning Tash, especially when I enlarge them! We have had 4 inches of rain here just this morning along with flooding, tornado warnings, hail, and severe thunderstorms. I hate it!
Very fine!!!! - Both of them!!!!
Wow, both are fantastic!
The first one is really breathtaking - so many lights, so many lives.
Beautiful photos!!! Bibi...I'm surprised you remember the views from your high school treks up Mulholland!!!
superb captures of the beautiful los angeles basin. it makes me sooo homesick. like here, the rains make the valley(s) beautiful for sparkling night captures.
thanks for stopping by my blog...have a wonderful weekend.
What outstanding pictures, Tash. That second one is breathtaking~
the 2 panoramas are beautiful but , the night shot is stunning !
Both spectacular shots, tho colors of the second one are gorgeous. You reminded me that I have to try better this merge option...
Both ar beautiful!
Both views are stunning! Good job!
Even on my tiny computer I can see that these pictures are really great.
I tried to take as many pictures as I could in between the storms.
I think the average age of surfers has gone up from what it was in the 70's and 80's.
The first photo looks like it could be from a scene in a vampire movie.:)
Gotta love our hill!

Magnificent, spectacular views and master photo work! Cheers!
Look what I miss when I spend time on the other blog. I do like the PS3 Photomerge. Where does that program come from? When I do these hi contrasts shot from my camera, it's hit or miss as to whether I can get detail into the foreground. Maybe I should read the manual.
Both shots have so much color
