Morning Hawk (SkyWatch Friday)
Isn't he a beauty? (Or maybe it's a she.) He was way up high keeping his eye on things.
I saw one of these in my avocado tree the other day! A first in 25 years...there was also a squirrel in the tree, I think the hawk was looking for dinner. But he flew away without the squirrel eventually.
They are magnificent birds, beautiful and they have a look in their eyes that almost seems humanly intelligent. Perhaps they are, and they're wondering what we have done and are doing to this world of ours.
I have a picture of that hawk at the fire station sitting on a light fixture. It's interesting to watch them soar in place against the wind force. Doesn't happen in Pasadena but I've seen this next to the air port a few times now. I hope they're not getting sucked into the jets

Looks like he is watching you Tash!
Oh my gosh! And Lois is right, he's either staring you down or ready for his close-up.
Is that a security camera where he is standing? I bet he sees a lot more than the camera.
I guess you were being doubly watched when you took this picture:)

He is waiting for someone!

He's got his eye on you, that's for sure. When I ride through the country here, I see hawks everywhere, waaaay up high.
loved enlarging this, you can really see he/she staring straight at you!

The Hawk is obviously a male...bcuz he's staring at you.
