Gateway Tower to PVE - Detail

The “stone tower” was built by the Palos Verdes Homes Association in 1926 from the plans of the architect Clarence E. Howard submitted in Nov. 1925. Intended for a gated entrance located on Parkland, it was deeded to Palos Verdes Estates im 1939 and has been occupied by various tenants to maintain and preserve the tower. (Plaque by the PV Historical Society).

I am so glad it's still there it was antique when we would drive past it in the late 50's down the hill to Food Giant shopping center!

Magnificent shot...in spite of the blue sky, the place looks a bit spooky!

Great angle! It looks like a tower from a fairy tale with princess inside:)

It is not easy to build a tower with stones.

They told me at the art jury that a man lives there now, with no power. I don't know if they were serious or joking, but it is an interesting thought.
