Greetings from Ealge's Nest "Wanderweg"

'Z' from Based in Villigen - Wanderweg reminded me of all the wonderful trails all over Switzerland that we enjoyed walking on some 20 years ago. So last (overcast) Sunday, Amy & I took to the 'wanderweg' of Portuguese Bend Reserve Trails (brochure & map) that starts right by Del Cerro park at the end of Crenshaw Blvd. It's got horse, bike & walking trails and it overlooks the coastline.
Abalone Cove thru wild mustard. The trails do lead all the way from the top of the bluff to the water.

Beautiful places and scenic trail in such a company!
It's the name "Eagle's Nest" that at European ears does not sound quite well...

We have trails in the north end of the county, we could use more in the city proper. I'm glad you had a wonderful time, right now the weather should be about perfect.

May Amy come stay with me? There's nothing like a Golden Retriever.
My Baxter was my best friend for many many years.

Looks like a great hiking trail. I like Amy, she reminds me of a Golden Retriever I used to have.

That small signage on a stick always gets me giddy

Lucky you to get trails that combine hills and view of the Ocean...

Okay, oceans we can't do here, though large lakes, yes. :-) Thanks for the shout-out.
