... brought to you by the South Bay Harley Davidson club, a "hog" zipping by on Hawthorne Blvd.
The computer game of the same name was the first one my son got hooked on when he was 5 years old. I would play endless games against him and I'd ALWAYS lose. I know he doesn't have the "need for speed" now, since his car will be a '68 Karman Ghia when he gets his lisence in less than a month.

That seems so very American to me - a car as soon as you get your driving licence! My son passed his driving test when he was 18 (you get the licence at 17) and there's no way we're buying him a car because a) he doesn't need one at university (has a flat 10 minutes away, and nowhere to park even if he had one) and b) he's going to have to buy his own if he wants one!
But he's such a good boy Linda. I'm sure he'll be very responsible. He does fly a plane and all!
my mother beats me always at chinese checkers. grrr
My mother and I used to play Old Maid and I would cheat by wrinkling the corner of the Old Maid....and then she caught on.
I rode on a Harley once in my life, in France.
Have you seen the film "Wild Hogs"? :)
hehe I remember this game as well!
Great motion in this shot, very well done!

Great post with a nice memory behind it.
It's nice to hear that your son will be getting an older car. So many young adults are given a brand new and, many times, expensive car for their first vehicle. I find this sad because they never learn to appreciate it when they finally reach a status where they are able to purchase, with their own resources, their first brand new, shiny car.
Thank you for the lovely comment regarding the necklace. That truly makes my day. :)
Glad he doesn't have a need for speed!!! Maybe he got that out of his system playing that game with Mom!!!
And I agree with you, Almost Precious...
