Sillouette for Sunday
The fennel plants, cargo ship and Catalina Island - photographed at the back of Rancho Palos Verdes City Hall.
PV is having a bad-hair day...mostly cloudy, no blue skies.
i like the feel of this image. it has a mood. you also got a great capture of catalina, which is not very easy to do as many days we cannot see it when we are in Newport looking over towards Catalina.
Whenever I go down to PV I realize how many fantastic views there are. Go to Strabucks, order a coffee and have a million dollar view not unlike this one.

What a lovely shot. We had clouds very similar to that yesterday. Lots of gusty winds too.
Love the ship and fennel plants. Makes a great composition.
Tash, I love your new profile picture. It's so nice to put a face with a name, especially such a pretty face.
I totally agree with Wanda regarding the profile picture :-)
Bad hair day - what an expression ... I will nick this ;-)
The photo with the fennel in the foreground and the mountains in the background is very good.

You are having such strange weather this year. So hot a few days ago and now cool and cloudy. I love the shot. - Margy
If only my bad hair days looked this great.
Gee,this could almost be Puget Sound! Atypical for PV, but I love it.
Beautiful Tash!!! Love the grey clouds and the almost silhouette of the foreground...all offset by the image of Catalina!
The ship looks like a floating city (it is probably big enough too)

Wild Fennel. Isn't that what they make licorice from?
So lovely and nostalgic view! Perfect!
