Palos Verdes Memorial Garden - Sundial, December 2009

From the plaque in the garden: "This Garden honors those who gave their lives to preserve our freedoms and sustain hope for future generations. Bring to this place your noblest thoughts, reflect on them in tranquility and remember the sacrifices made that we may enjoy this beauty in peace."

Those words from the plaque in the garden are worth reading/reflecting on everyday - especially during war time. The colors in the second photo are absolutely amazing. Great capture.

the bottom photo reminds me a bit of that photoshop feature that creates a grain. Kind of like a pastel. Related to todays photo....I tried shooting film from the truck yesterday, but between Mr V's ability to hit every bump in the road and my truck's bad suspension, it's all a jumbaly blur.
