View from the Hill

On a clear day, this is a prime viewpoint and photo-op location in PV. The spot is just above La Venta Inn on PV Drive West (not to be confused with PV Dr N, E, or S). Below is Torrance Beach, then streaching from the beach cities to the San Gabriel Mts, with the buildings of downtown LA way in the distance. The little white bar on the closer hills to the left of downtown is the Griffith Observatory.

What a view! It makes PV seem so much closer to LA than I'd thought.

I like your new blog style.

Amazing perspective! It makes me stop to think that out there in that basin between the mountains and the ocean are millions of lives going in millions of different directions each and every day. When you are down on street level, you have no concept of the bigger picture you are part of.

Everything is in a different spot.

Saturday afternoon after we finished on the mosaic we explored the vacant land around the airport. All neighborhood removal thats reverted to natural coast land. A mystery....Afterwards we made our way down the coast to PV. The huge water and power facility is a place I'd like to return to.
Parked at the light house in PV and walked north on the trail reaching a neighborhood that we continued walking through.

What a great angle, and fabulous shot! That's hard to get sometimes.
