Lunada Bay is mostly surrounded by beautiful homes but also has a stretch of an open, unimproved field accessible to all. This photo was taken in late September and today the weather is the same except for the smoke on the horizon from the awful fires again plaguing Southern California.

Beautiful shot. Reminds me of the years I lived in Carlsbad CA. Weather is so hot for this time of year, but unfortunately that means more CA. wildfires :(

Wow! Too bad you have to live in such an awful place. I'm not the least bit jealous.
I mean, this is gorgeous.
Tash, are you dealing with fires near you today?
This is beautiful! As much as I love the mountains, there's nothing like the power and beauty of the ocean.
tash,
I am off tomorrow but wanted to stop by and wish you and everyone in your community well with the fires. I pray you are all safe and sound.
Hugs,
V
I have been praying for everyone in this area too regarding the wildfires. PS..this is a beautiful photo!
is it accessible from the bluff to the ocean? I think I see the beginnings of a trail.
This looks exactly like the cliffs I used to climb down (and back up) when I lived in nearby Westchester eons ago. No houses so close up on top then.
It is so gorgeoues.
Tash, hoping to hear from you.
Beautiful vista. I enlarged the photo to the right. It's a bit like this one:
