Night Moves in RPV

Hawthorne Blvd at Knollbrook Falls Apartments (24 January 2012)
Canon EOS 50D, f/11, 10 sec., ISO-400, 18 mm focal length
Remember the Night Photography class I was going to take...well, it started.  As my blogger friend The Chieftess said "it's all about using a tripod and a remote shutter release". And then lots of playing with settings on MANUAL (oh, no!).
The class will be great, with the benfit of 2 photographers as instructors - Bernard Fallon and his very talented, visual journalist son, Patrick T. Fallon.
The photo is straight from the camera, taken near where I live.

Fantastic shot!!! What exposure time and aperture did you shoot this at? I'd love to see more of your night shots.

I think I recognize that. Got to get my cable release and tripod out! Looking forward to more of your night shots.

Shots like this are fun. I have experimented with similar shots but so far I don't think they have found their way to the blog.

Nothing to worry about. In most respects I find night photography easier than daylight photography.

Plunk the camera on the tripod and experiment with shutter speeds. :-)
