Going solo...

Our son after his first solo in a powered airplane, at Torrance Airport, Sunday, December 12.
The tall buildings of Los Angeles, some 20 miles away, and the San Gabriel Mountains are in the background. He had excellent weather for his solo - a very clear and warm day.

I'm happy to see you have a son to be proud of. You did a great capture of him and the plane.

That plane is my daughter-in-law's favorite color!

He sure looks at home in that cockpit. Did he always talk of flying?

Tash, that is so exciting. My Dad had his pilot license when we were small and would take us up in small planes....we loved it. I still love to fly. Had the experience years ago of flying from Paris CA to Portland ME in a 4 passenger Sesna Plane.

Congrats to you son.... I wish I had gotten a pilot license!!
