Double Melodrama in Long Beach

At Shoreline Village in Long Beach.
We had lunch at a nearby restaurant today, and the rain and reflection made this pale green building very noticable. The Melodrama Theater website promises "Old Fashioned, live entertainment fun for the whole family, with Ragtime piano tunes in a Victorian Style theatre."

I lived in Long Beach from high school through college, but when I was little I remember going to the Pike as a kid. My best friend's parents bowled there once a week and they let us hang out on our own. Must have been different times. - Margy

I lived in Long Beach from the late 80's until 2002...loved it!!! My aunt, uncle and cousin lived there up until about the mid 80's...went to the Pike many times...once, I rode the rollercoaster then the centrifigal force thing where the floor drops out, 13 times in a row...then went into the ladies room and threw up (I swore it was the cotton candy, not the 13 rounds of rides)!!! I was about 8 or so!!! At any rate, there have been a lot of changes down in the Shoreline Village since I lived there, including this theater! Love the idea...

Wonderful photo of a charming building.
Love your clever title, like an Agatha Christie mystery. :)
