Frolicking in Lake Mary - Mammoth Lakes, CA

We headed for Mammoth this weekend ... Amy had a cooling dip in chilly water of Lake Mary and made a few new friends.

Frolicking. What a lovely, summery word.

The entire scene speaks of youth and summer.

We have a phrase for what I felt when I saw this: kurot sa puso. I don't know how to say it in English, but it literally means "a pinch in the heart."

Thank you for this lovely image, Tash.

Ooooh, would I love to be there now, as the thermometer is in the 90's...and humid.

My friend lives in Bishop, not so far from Mammoth.

Dogs have the most amazing ability to open the door to conversation between the people surrounding them.

This is so charming. Has a Tom Sawyer quality.

That water does look so inviting!
