Waiting for Burlington Northern & Santa Fe - Barstow, CA (Monochrome Monday)
Your shots of Barstow are wonderful. They really convey a sense of history and nostalgia...makes me want to head back there. I, too, have passed by this place numerous times on the way to other places. Next time I'll make a quick stop over and visit its charming sights.

Those verticals give the picture an extra quality that really makes it.
What a composition. That line of trains reaching toward those craggy mountains.

There are so many patterns here, and the vertical reflections really appeal.
Wonderful shot, Tash. Full of geometric grids. The dark vertical elements just make this photo.
Tash, I ridden that Santa Fe train from Barstow through the Tahachapi pass on to Fresno, and Turlock!
wow what a cool perspective!Great shot!

All these Barstow pictures are great. The top one is like a
Woody Guthie song.
A classic image of America, at least for a European. And yes, I was also hearing Woody Guthrie when I saw this.
Beautiful! There's something very appealing about railroads in black and white. I really need to travel more.
