Nature and Art
California Poppy and plain ole Cornflower (thank you, Rashka) in a dry climate garden. Walkway mural of the peninsula mall logo by Cafe Ceramic.
The blue flower isn't a gilia; it's a plain ole cornflower, aka "Bachelor's Button." But then I love blue flowers and especially cornflowers, so to me there's nothing "plain" about it! There is something so magical about cornflowers in spite of how common they are.
Anyway, thanks for photographing my two favorite wildflowers together. Did you realize when you took the picture that the colors are opposites on the color wheel, or was that just a happy accident?

Love those colors together Tash! Great job!
I like those bright colors.
Both are very pretty, but the flowers are truly stunning.
Are not those two colors in the flowers the best together...Just stunning...and then to capture the same colors in the art!!! Nice post!
Fabulous photo of the flowers!

Tash, these are just beautiful. I love these colors. I changed my banner to flowers of that beautiful blue color; don't know their names.
Nature can put colors together that one would never think of and it is amazing, beautiful shots!!
Such bold colours in nature!
Aren't nature's colors magnificent????
Ooooh, I love the flower shot! That is one of Janet's favorite flowers and one of mine in one photo!
