Along S. Main Street in Barstow, CA

We ate at a nice, clean American-Chinese Cafe (hence the red details). I had a tasty tuna wrap and my husband had a BLT done just right. Our server was a beautiful young Hispanic woman, whose lunch was leftovers from Olive Garden restaurant.
The motel sign can be seen from the Interstate-15, a very busy freeway between LA and Vegas.
Further south along Main St. is all auto repair shops...this section is motel row.
One of the nostalgic nooks of the newly renovated ROUTE 66 MOTEL.

The motel is even getting a new roof ... and it's a one man job.

These pictures also bring memories to mind. When we lived in Victorville area, our Tax man was in Barstow....He was our Tax Accountant for over 40 years.

One of my dreams is to travel what's left of Route 66 from beginning to end.

My motto is never eat sushi in the desert.

These are great. The back side of that row of motel units gets my wunder lust activated.

as to the roofer...did you have to duck after you got that shot in? He's not smiling
