Chaise Lounge at the Beach House - Santa Monica

The pool at the Annenberg Community Beach House was closed...I assume for the season.

By amazing coincidence, the bikers in yesterday's post are Palos Verdes residents, Fran and Bob. Santa Monica is about 30 miles up the coast from PV, and this is only the 2nd time this year that I've been there...what are the chances of that! (My husband said 11,378,532:1 -- funny guy.)

Party Time at the Pool with a View

My lovely little friend celebrated her 10th birthday last Saturday. Not a bad place for a pool party.

The location is San Pedro Elks Lodge No. 966 and the view is of San Pedro, Port of Los Angeles, the breakwater and the Pacific. Note that the grass on the hillside is no longer green.

Swim Club & RAT Beach

The old Swim Club (and later Roessler Memorial Pool) was restored in 1992 & is now the private PV Beach & Athletic Club (members can bring friends for a fee). RAT beach (which stands for "Right After Torrance") is in the background.
