RAT beach ...

... where RAT stands for "Right after Torrance" and which is the closest beach to Malaga Cove School shown yesterday.

Ha! RAT beach. I would love to walk here....looks like the houses have moved down to the beach since my time in Palos Verdes.

I like the idea of beach straight after school.

That reminds me of the name of a beach we went to when I was a kid. We called it Tin Can Beach. It was the sandy strip just south of Belmont Shores. It was also full of tar from off shore oozing. I always came home with sand in my bathing suit bottom and tar on the soles of my feet. Thanks for the happy memory. - Margy

Looks almost isolated. Lovely.

Lovely photo! I really like the contrast of the rugged, steep California hillside and the sandy ocean shore, guess all of the rain has made the hills lush and green - so pretty. It's almost as if the hills want to dip their toes into the water (though I recall that the Pacific Ocean water can be rather chilly, even in the heat of summer).

beautiful. I don't think of the Verdes (green) as being this green. Time of year or excessive rains. Lovely
