Last to Fall ... before Spring
Flowers of Erythrina (or Flame tree, or Coral tree.)
You are lucky to have bright colored flowers out there. We have deep snow. Event organizers and flower sellers all know that by now everyone is sick of cold weather and snow, so the indoor flower shows and plant catalogs will begin soon back East.
Aren't they unusual? I've never seen a flame tree (though read about them in books.) It was nice coming here, as I just posted some red leaves on my blog too.

Beautiful photos Tash!!! I love the bottom one...the tree against the clouds...and the top one...the color!!!
BTW...be sure to bring sunscreen when you come up here...I think we skipped the rest of winter and are well into spring up here!!!
simply superb! a striking image!
I'll bet you're glad they're the last to fall. They're beautiful.
Tash, these are marvelous, particularly the second shot...so full of movement.
That second is a work of art.
Good to be at the right place in the right moment, would love to be in California to see the spring comming along the coast.
May be next year :-) !!!
Thanks for sharing this unique flowers.
