On a Clear Day ...

... we can see Downtown Los Angeles and even make out Pasadena at the foothills of the San Gabriel mountains. This view can be enjoyed by the middle schoolers of the Ridgecrest Intermediate from their playing field.

Fabulous view!

"Louis" thanks you for your kind comments, especially about Mme la Vache. She is indeed a jewel!

In case you didn't see it, here's a link with more about the Matsons.

Pasadena Adjacent
wordpress is being a pill so..

I've been wanting to send you the same kind of photograph but looking towards Palos Verdes from the San Gabrials. Between the fog and smog, it's not happening. What I wouldn't give for a clear day

Hi Tash,

It's almost glorious. Almost.

Your photo captures it in such a wistful way, almost like a dream city on a cloud. Too bad it's a cloud of smog.

Here in Knoxpatch, we call it "haze" because we can't bring ourselves to say "smog"
Neat photo - LA is a mirage, the trees are real.

I bet it a perfect view after a nice steady rain!!

Aye, there's the rub. Rain.

I'd forgotten how tall those mountains are. I guess that's what distinguishes them from things like the Hollywood Hills. But then, maybe I never could see them before. Excellent shot.
