The BIG Five-Oh!

This past week, I turned 50. Nifty-fifty. Half a century. Even with all the jokes, I like being 50. It's a good solid number.
My family, my old-time friends and my friends at work made me feel very special.

I figure that now I can also claim my own label.

The top photo is in the foyer of the Peninsula Center Library, and the label was swiped from a sticker of Alsace-Lorraine Bakery in Long Beach.

Who would say you are 50? :)
And I absolutely agree they must have been of excellence.

Hope many more years are still to be seens and a very big hug from this here friend.

I would also like to say I'm real sorry for not being able to visit and comment all my blog friends.
I'll try to at least pay a weekly visit!

How did I know that number was coming. Maybe tomorrow I'll dedicate Trash Tuesday to you and Annie. Fellow bloggers, it's an inside joke!

Sorry if this comes out into a double post - the blogger bouncers seem to be giving me a hard time (don't like the look of me I guess!). What I was trying to say was:

1. Ooh happy birthday!
2. What a fantastic picture! It's the kind of thing that most people wouldn't give a second glance to, but you've made it a really striking image.

Fantastic! Surviving this long sure beats the alternative! I'm following close behind, coming up in February...

Oh you're all a bunch of babies! I feel like the Grand Dame of this bunch-HA Sorry my birthday wishes are late, but I LOVE the metallic wall. I detect some type of pattern on the gold side. Very nice one.
