Golden Time

Golden Time by Terry Allen (1995). Sony Picture Studios (formerly MGM), Culver City, CA.
"Located near the roof line of one of the buildings along Culver Blvd., Golden Time depicts a man struggling to balance a clock on his shoulders. This sculpture is a metaphor for the dignity of the working man and the burden we all share against time." (source

My dad and his wife lived in Culver City for many, many years. The time passed too quickly.

Thank you for your faithful visits and for your condolences. They mean a lot to me. I will be visiting back soon.

I like Terry Allen. I think he has a second career as a country western singer. He's the guy who did that piece with the bronze business man who looks like his head is stuck into the side of the building. In this day and age you would find it hard to get that kind of concept past the committees.
